Tom Collins Variation – Wild Rose Collins

Many of the new craft gins on the market emphasize rose and cucumber flavors in their botanicals. This Tom Collins recipe is designed to take advantage of those flavors.
One of our favorite gins in this category is Victoria Gin. A small batch artisinal gin distilled on Vancouver Island. It is well worth trying out in this recipe.

This is a Tom Collins variation.

Wild Rose Collins

  • 1 ½ oz Victoria Gin or Collins Rose Gin
  • ¾ oz Lemon Juice
  • ½ oz Rosewater Syrup
  • 1 ½ oz Fresh Cucumber Water
  • 1 Rosehip and 1 cucumber slice for garnish
  1. Fill a collins glass with crushed ice.
  2. Fill a large cocktail shaker with ice and add gin, lemon juice, rosewater syrup and cucumber water.
  3. Shake vigorously and strain into collins glass.
  4. Top with soda.
  5. Garnish with a rosehip and cucumber slice.
